Laura Walsh, M.S., CFP ®, CIMA®
Laura has spent her career reaching out to people in need. She received her master’s degree in mental health counseling in 1992, and her financial planning practice grew out of her recognition that the financial decisions people face—and the choices they make—play such a critical role in their lives.
Laura earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ (CFP)® designation in 1996 and focuses her practice on the special needs of families throughout all of life’s stages. Laura recently completed her studies for the CERTIFIED INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT ANALYST™ (CIMA)® designation at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business, Executive Education Program. With these credentials you can be sure that she provides expert and professional planning services, and is considered one of the more highly trained professionals in her field. Laura is active in her profession and in her community. She served on the board South Florida Chapter of the of the International Association of Financial Planning, the South Florida Institute of Certified Financial Planners and the Broward County Chapter of the Financial Planning Association. She is also an active member of the National Society of Tax Professionals, the Institute of Certified Divorce Financial Analysts, the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants and the National Institute of Certified College Planners.
When you come to the office you will soon come to learn of Laura’s passion for music. As a teenager she was a principal clarinetist in the Long Island Youth Symphony and was given a scholarship to attend the prestigious Usdan summer program of the performing arts. Laura also attended the University of Miami School of Music. In the early 90’s she performed in the South Florida Orchestra until the responsibilities of being a mother to two young children became more rewarding than the performing.
Laura has been married to her husband, Bruce, for the past 18 years. (She was a child bride.) The children and the pet, English Bulldog, are big time University of Miami Hurricane Fans. |

Mary Hersey
Mary is the Financial development Assistant at Lifespan Financial Strategies, Inc. Mary has 16 years experience working in the financial services industry. Mary holds several securities registrations with LPL Financial, including, General Securities Representative, Direct Participation Program Representative and Uniform Securities Agent State Law. Mary graduated in 1989 with her Associates of Arts degree from the College of DuPage in Illinois.
Mary will be processing and organizing all the behind the scenes logistics so that we may be able to easily access all of the details and documents necessary to create and maintain your financial development. Laura will be relying on Mary to help with working with clients directly to help implement paperwork and any interactions with security companies to implement their financial plans. Mary’s primary responsibility is to ensure that all of the details that Laura helps create are fully implemented with timeliness and accuracy. Laura and Mary work closely on all details. |

Susan Ressler Susan is the Client Services Assistant at Lifespan Financial Strategies, Inc. Susan has many years of business experience as she owned her own floral and design business for 11 years in the South Florida market. Susan brings her experience of client relations, bookkeeping, organization, let’s just say, everything you need to run a business, Sue knows how to do.
Susan will be processing and organizing all the behind the scenes logistics so we may be able to easily access all of the details and documents necessary to create and maintain your financial plans. When Maira is not available, please rest assured that Susan will take the necessary steps to handle and properly direct your call, so the most efficient and effective action is taken to resolve your personal concerns. |
